“X” marks The Spot
If you see mattresses sitting outside with an x painting across them, do not go near them. This is the scene that I saw while taking my morning walk with my dog in a neighborhood near where I currently live. I asked a maintenance worker what was going on and he told me that an apartment building had become infested with Bedbugs and that the tenements were getting so many be bug bites that they were forced to get rid of all the mattresses and bedding in the apartment building. To make sure no one was tempted to take one of the mattresses they were painting a red x across both sides.
