“Mom, I Want to Learn Guitar Fast”
My daughter was in her third month of guitar lessons, bored, and ready to quit. She still couldn’t play like the artists on her CDs. You may have heard the same complaints. They illustrate the modern need for “instant gratification.” I could have let Jennie quit her lessons, or insisted that her pre-paid lessons would continue and she should stop whining. Instead, I found a way to help her learn guitar fast, or at least get to the point of playing what she considered “real music”. After searching the WEB for helpful books and DVDs to use in addition to her regular lessons, and purchasing easy guitar music for her favorite tunes, Jennie has become more patient, and is impressing her regular instructor with her new attitude.
