The Chilblains

There are a number of diseases which could happen to the lower limb in cold weather. Essentially the most common will be chilblains. These happen once the toe gets cool and is warmed up too quickly. This brings about issues with the circulation and also the deposition of waste material in the pores and skin of the feet. These waste products bring about the inflammatory response providing a very painful reaction within the epidermis. Chilblains start off as reddish and itchy and then develop to a darkish blue appearance. The most effective cure for this condition is to keep your toes cozy and never allow it to get cool from the beginning.
