Vote for your favourite singer but not until they tell you to
I was watching a popular television programme talent spotting new musical acts and decided to vote as there was a brilliant singer on the show who impressed me. I rang the number and placed my vote to help the young man win the show. The next day I bought the Sunday paper and to my dismay the headlines were fix phone line for voters! I was seething that I had taken the time to pay for a call to help someone get a chance in life and it was all a scam. What I discovered after reading the story, was that the channel promoting the show had not advised the callers that if they call while the show was on, they would be charged for a call before the voting was open!
