The New Science Lab
When I was in college about thirty years ago, I went to a very small school that had few programs available. We had to go to a neighboring school to complete all of our scientific studies. Right before I graduated a wealthy alumni made a very large donation to the school, but stipulated that the money could only be used to buy laboratory furniture and equipment to start a new science lab on campus. It didn’t take long at all for it to be set up! I was one of the first classes to use the new lab, and now it has evolved into one of the most prestigious science departments in New England.
